“Feel the power of my soul, song and force, while I ride into town on my Painted Horse.”
Blues outlaw Anthony Gomes rode into Portsmouth, NH on October 23rd on his painted horse with his red six string blazing. Fresh off the release of his most recent album High Voltage Blues, Gomes and his three-piece band rocked Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club.
Dressed in his signature duster hat and waxed black jeans, he tore through some of his most popular tracks including the opener Peace Love & Loud Guitars, One Last Time, Blues in the First Degree, the crowd favorite White Trash Princess, and a cover of the Led Zeppelin classic Whole Lotta Love, just to name a few.
He was coaxed back on stage by the energetic crowd (including many from his fan club who took up the entire front row) to do one last track, Fur Covered Handcuffs, a track that he recorded recently but had yet to play live.
