When I think about debut albums that have had a lasting impact on me, the first one that comes to mind is the self-titled debut from the band Boston. And it’s not because I’m from New England, it’s because this rock band did something that not too many bands are able to do—get radio airplay from every single song on their debut album.

It’s like a greatest hits album from start to finish. You had dueling guitars between Tom & Barry, Sib & Fran laid down the back beat and rhythm, and of course Brad, who had one of the best voices in rock. Don’t take my word for it.
